![]() ![]() The crash animations and sound design are extremely comical and visceral in RR64. And I think it only achieved this by throwing away what the other 3D versions did, and imagining the game from the ground up. ![]() Looking past the horribly compressed redneck rock soundtrack and the general N64-ness of it all, it became one of my all time favourite games. ![]() The result felt kind of empty to me too much lonely riding, not enough combat or excitement no signs of any real progress into the next generation. It was like they simply copy-pasted RR into a 3D world, without truly capitalising on the newer technology at their disposal. The 3D sequels made for Playstation/PC/3DO never had that pick-up-and-play quality for me, in the way the original trilogy did. Road Rash II is still my pick of the bunch, and is still the one I pick up and play regularly (via emulation these days, sometimes on the big screen, sometimes on a handheld like my Pandora or Dingoo). Then I noticed this question & reponse, and thought I'd throw my two (thousand) cents in.įirst, it goes without saying that the Megadrive versions of Road Rash were never truly replaced by the later generation sequels. I just wanted to ask if you had a twitter or website, so I don't miss any news. Hopefully you're still passing through to check replies. He said I might be right, but should have to pay something. I told the judge I should have been charged with wreckless driving if anything. Anyway $180 dollar ticket for Exhibition of speed. Sirens went of immediately, those KZ100s were cops. Unfortunately, I forgot there was a green turn light at that intersection, and wheelied through the intersection on a red light. It gave me an edge because it would give me about 6 seconds warning by when it turned yellow. I was watching the light on the opposite side of the street so I could get a good jump on it when it turned red. I saw two KZ1000's at the gas station across the street. A friend was on his bike, and we were going to race as soon as the light turned green. One time I was at a stop sign on the main drag in Modesto. The bike cops used to ride Harley's back then.
